![]() The tall chests were emptied and the contents were removed to the collections storage of the museum. Two albums were displayed in the Studio, several bound items were stowed in the shelves of a pedestal in the Reception Room, and the cabinet in the Studio enclosed some bound items as well. ![]() ![]() The photographs were in the drawers of two tall chests and a cabinet the architectural drawings were for the most part either rolled or folded and were also stored in drawers apparently a few stood upright in large ceramic jars. The material, with little exception, related either specifically to the work of French or to art in general. Included was the studio of Daniel Chester French, built in 1898, which contained many of its original contents of sculpture and furniture, books and an abundance of historical documents consisting primarily of photographs, architectural drawings, albums, and scrapbooks.
